The 37th Street Hy-Vee hosted a Pet Party at the store on Tuesday, August 29. The nearly 300 attendees and their furry friends enjoyed a picnic and participated in a host of pet-friendly activities, including the opportunity to create a paw print canvas keepsake. Hot dogs and hamburgers were available for purchase, with a portion of the food sales benefiting the Wallace the Pit Bull Foundation. In addition to the picnic, there was a pet parade, where Roo Yori – K9 Ninja and Rochester native – served as the celebrity judge, and the top three contestants walked away with prizes. Safe Haven Pet Rescue, BACB Unleashed, Rochester Animal Control, Olmsted County K-9, Small Dog Rescue of MN and Camp Companion were all on hand for the evening.
